Filey
Home > Filey | Filey Brigg protects the beach and is a haven for birds and wildlife. A walk on the Brigg will reveal some of North Yorkshire’s favourite coastline birds, including Puffins, Kittiwakes and Guillemots. Organised boat trips are held during the summer months along the impressive coastline. Surfing is popular at Filey, along with walking-it’s the finishing point of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Yachting, golf and beautiful gardens, there’s lots to see and do. | |
| At the end of June the Filey Festival is held. It’s a great opportunity to see singers, craft fairs and pram races! At the beginning of July the Filey Regatta takes place, attracting more than 100 boats to the resort and at the end of July it’s the Filey folk event where pubs and hotels house folk singers for the night. |
| Hotels, holiday villages, guest houses and bed and breakfasts all offer relaxing places to stay. The Holiday parks are self catering with accommodation ranging from tents to a cottage! Farmhouses offer isolated converted barns; if escape is what you are looking for, this is ideal. With its links to Scarborough, Whitby and the North York Moors, Filey is easily accessible by road and rail. |
